Alexandra with Linna and John

Beautiful Alex was born prematurely in a Mexican hospital in 2001, where she stayed for nearly a month healing from respiratory distress and possible in-utero drug exposure. After a short time spent at the Polinsky Children’s Shelter, Alex joined her “forever” family in August 2001, and she was adopted in July of 2002 at the age of 28 months.

Today Alexandra is a bright, curious, and optimistic little six-year-old. She has many friends, both adults and children her own age. She is doing well in school. Her strengths are reading and math. She has a very good memory for detail.

Alexandra’s hobbies are piano, voice, dance and swimming. She also enjoys play dates with other children, Barbies, dress up, puppies, coloring, and movie nights at the YMCA.

She is generous and kind to everyone and has a very positive view of her future.
