Our Foster Families
Denny and Anna
Denny and Anna found Angels, with a desire to focus on babies and toddlers after having previous fostering experience with older children. Having 3 of their own children and having fostered many more, Denny and Anna came to Angels with a lot of parenting experience. Throughout their time with Angels, Denny and Anna have experienced the pain and joy of fostering over 10 babies. Denny and Anna have become "experts" on how to work with birth parents and have assisted in the successful reunification of many of their Angels babies. However, the following are three of their Angels babies they have adopted.
In November 1999, Denny and Anna were the lucky recipients of the first Angels baby ever placed, Jeremy. Jeremy was removed from his mother at birth due to mother's drug use. He came to his Angels family at four months of age after being in three former foster homes. He was severely malnourished due to the neglect he had suffered in his prior foster home, weighing only 10 lbs, upon arrival. He had asthma and was very sick with colds and ear infections, requiring constant medical care and intervention. He quickly bonded to him Angels foster family and in November of 2000, he was adopted and made an official member of Denny and Anna's family.
In May 2001, Raphael, who was 12 months old, joined the family. Having suffered from neglect with a homeless family; Raphael was placed into foster care along with his numerous siblings. After a failed family reunification, he was adopted by Denny and Anna in September of 2003.
Raehijah was placed with Denny and Anna in March 2003. She is the biological sister to Jeremy. She quickly bonded with her brother and the rest of her family, and in September of 2003, she became Denny and Anna’s youngest daughter.
